International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study of the interactions between sovereign states and other actors within the global political system. It explores the ways in which countries engage with one another, focusing on diplomacy, conflict, cooperation, trade, and the impact of international organizations. IR encompasses various theories and frameworks to analyze and understand the behavior of states and non-state entities on the world stage, including realism, liberalism, constructivism, and critical theories. The field examines issues such as war and peace, security strategies, human rights, international law, and global governance. It also considers the role of transnational actors, such as multinational corporations, non-governmental organizations, and international institutions, in shaping international policies and relations. Overall, International Relations seeks to explain how global interactions affect political, economic, and social dynamics across borders.
